So, about us. My name is Rob Perkins, and my travel buddy and dog is named Norman. I am a retired carpenter and maker, and now an automatons maker and Folk Artist. After I retired, Norm and I traveled around the beautiful forests of the Northwest in an RV. That inspired me to use a nature theme for my automatons. What makes these carefully crafted wooden automatons truly unique is not only the intricate hand carving and meticulous hand crafting that goes into each piece, but also the fact that they serve an interesting purpose beyond mere decoration. Now my RV is a woodshop and home on wheels, and Norm is happy to just chill. My hope is that you enjoy the automatons as much as I enjoyed making them.
